Divine Moon is a surreal story about the mystery of motherhood.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On Christmas night, when the son of wine is born, a miracle occurs.<\/p>\n

The story of the birth of a son who is saved thanks to a bath in wine.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The newborn, in serious health conditions, was risking his life due to a respiratory crisis.<\/p>\n

In those moments of great conciliation, the mother ordered the women who were caring for him to heat some Aglianico wine.<\/p>\n

Immediately, the baby was immersed in a basin of warm wine and almost miraculously, the newborn began to breathe.<\/p>\n

His cries were a sweet sound for the family.<\/p>\n

This episode marks the beginning of the journey of the company Terra dei Re.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cantine Terra dei Re is located at the foot of Monte Vulture, the ancient volcano of Basilicata, near the Monticchio lakes.<\/p>\n

It was founded in 2000 from an entrepreneurial idea of the Rabasco and Leone families.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The innovative winery is completely underground at a depth of about 25 meters, with attached caves carved into the volcanic rock where the Aglianico del Vulture is aged.<\/p>\n

In the winery's vineyard property, not only Aglianico is cultivated, but also Pinot Noir, a unique vineyard at an altitude of 800 meters.<\/p>\n

Making the company competitive, but above all keeping up with the times, is the main goal.<\/p>\n

Giving the Aglianico del Vulture the opportunity to be sustainable, creating synergy with the territory, and achieving the perfect drinkability.<\/p>\n

But let's go in order.<\/p>\n

The hills of Vulture tell a millennial story of passion, history and men.<\/p>\n

Terra dei Re has believed and believes in Aglianico.<\/p>\n

They have been inspired by the atmospheres of this land to obtain what nature has given them.<\/p>\n

Everything in wine originates from geology...<\/p>\n

Imagine various lava flows that have enriched the structure of the Vulture soils.<\/p>\n

The presence of the volcanic component, tuff banks, and cellulose areas are determining elements for the differentiation of the wine's characteristics.<\/p>\n

A unique territory of its kind.<\/p>\n

The harvest is nocturnal.<\/p>\n

You may wonder why?<\/p>\n

The reason is related to the climate, the climatic conditions affect the characteristics of the grape.<\/p>\n

The harvest of the grape from which Aglianico del Vulture Nocte is produced undergoes extraordinary thermal excursions that reach up to 15\u00b0C during that period.<\/p>\n

The skin of the grape is subjected to stress due to expansion during the day and contraction during the night, due to low temperatures.<\/p>\n

And it is precisely at night that the plant produces elastic substances to reduce the tension of the skin.<\/p>\n

These elastic substances are very fragrant, rich in aromas and color.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then there is agriculture, fundamental for complex territories like these.<\/p>\n

The vineyards of Aglianico, Pinot Noir, and Malvasia are planted at different altitudes, to give each vine its best condition.<\/p>\n

Evident elements contribute to uniqueness, the exposure of the vineyards, the marked thermal excursions, and the volcanic soil favor the formation of an extraordinary quantity of aromatic precursors.<\/p>\n

Elegance, softness, persistent aromatic notes, and minerality are the distinctive elements of these wines.<\/p>\n

The primary floral notes, ripe fruits, balanced spices, and well-polished tannins are especially evident in Aglianico.<\/p>\n

The oenological part has been entrusted for years to Riccardo Cotarella.<\/p>\n

His guidance is considered fundamental to achieving a new vision, modernity through advanced technologies while respecting the characteristics of the vines and terroirs.<\/p>\n
